The Art of Assisting
Hands-On Touch in Yoga

Touch in yoga is ancient, powerful, and nuanced. As teachers and space-holders, we must understand not only how to offer physical support—but when, why, and with what intention.

In this immersive workshop, you'll be guided through a comprehensive and respectful approach to hands-on assists. You’ll explore the ethics of touch, gain language for consent, and refine your ability to read the room—knowing when your presence is most beneficial.

Expect a blend of theory and embodied practice:

  • Clarity on the teacher’s role and responsibility with physical touch

  • Understanding risks and benefits of hands-on assists

  • Language that fosters safety, trust, and respect

  • Techniques for verbal, self, and physical assists

  • Use of props and informed, intuitive touch

  • Practice time to give and receive assists

  • A guided 60-minute Vinyasa Flow with adjustments

Inspired Vinyasa
creative sequencing workshop

Unlock Your Creative Potential in this Yoga Sequencing Workshop!

Join me, with over 13 years of experience I aim to offer immersive journey into the art of nonlinear sequencing. This workshop is my passion project, designed to unleash your creativity while guiding you, and your students, towards breaking free from habitual patterns.

In this 3-hour YACEP workshop (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Program), you'll delve deep into the intricacies of crafting sequences that inspire a journey into the feeling body instead of the thinking mind. Together, we'll collaboratively construct a sequence centered around a peak posture, providing you with a blueprint to integrate into your practice and teachings.

Discover the magic of intentional posture combinations and anatomically friendly posture chains as we prepare the body to embrace the chosen peak posture. Learn to seamlessly incorporate counter and neutralizing postures, ensuring a holistic and safe experience for practitioners of all levels.

This workshop is tailored for yoga teachers and enthusiasts alike, offering invaluable insights into:

  • Creative (Nonlinear) Vinyasa Sequencing

  • Intentional Posture Combinations

  • Anatomically Friendly Posture Chains

Join myself and Juliana for a transformative journey back to connection—a blissful union of body, mind, and spirit. This restorative yoga and sound bath experience invites you to simply be—to rest, reflect, and reconnect with your inner self.

As the Spring Equinox graces us with its perfect balance, it offers a mirror to the natural rhythms within. This sacred alignment marks a powerful time to nurture the seeds of intention that have quietly germinated in the rich, dark soil of your being through the winter months.

This workshop is your invitation to honor you—to embrace stillness, nourish your spirit, and cultivate the dreams and visions that are ready to bloom.

During our two hours together, you’ll be lovingly supported by cozy props (feel free to bring your favorite bolsters, blankets, or pillows) to help your body surrender into deep rest. Let the healing tones of crystal bowls, played by Juliana, create an immersive soundscape, while Tessa gently guides you through deeply restorative postures held for extended moments of stillness.

Allow yourself to be transported as the soothing vibrations and passive stretches bring ease to your spirit, grounding you in connection and serenity. Together, we’ll cultivate the balance and renewal that this season so beautifully embodies.

Come as you are and EMERGE more calm, connected and confident to bloom into the fullest version of your
highest self.

"The lesson which life repeats and constantly enforces is

Look under foot. You are always nearer to the divine and the true sources of your power than you think. The lure of the distant and the difficult is deceptive. The great opportunity is where you are.

Do not despise your own place and hour. Every place is under the stars, every place is the centre of the world." - John Burroughs"
